Mingze Jiang is an Algorithm Engineer at MaP – Microstructure and Pores GmbH, Aachen, Germany. After obtaining a BSc in communication engineering from Jimei University in Xiamen, China, he continued with an MSc in electronical engineering and technical informatics at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Jiang’s current research interest is multimodal image processing with special focus on image segmentation and feature quantification using integrated, multiscale data sets from optical- and electron microscopy. He is also interested in the advantages that can be gained from using deep learning for these applications.
