Das Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) wurde am 3. März 1989 gegründet und nahm im Oktober 1990 den Betrieb auf. Es ist das designierte nationale Augenzentrum innerhalb des öffentlichen Gesundheitsnetzes. Das SNEC leitet und koordiniert die Bereitstellung spezialisierter ophthalmologischer Dienstleistungen mit Schwerpunkt auf qualitativ hochwertiger Ausbildung und Forschung.
